wA native of Buffalo, NY Jacqueline found her passionate flare and gathered technique through her training at Center Stage Dance Studio in Cheektowaga, NY from the ages of 7-21.
At the age of 17 she was given her first teaching opportunity through Center Stage. For the past 8 years Jacqueline has been instructing kids of all ages in styles such as tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, basic acro, lyrical, and contemporary. In 2011 her choreography received an award from the Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. In May of 2013 Jacqueline graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the State University of New York at Buffalo under the artistic direction of Thomas Ralabate. Throughout her college career Jacqueline had the privilege of dancing in Zodiaque, the senior dance company at SUNY UB. Shortly after moving to NYC in October 2013 Jacqueline began her participation in the work-study program at Broadway Dance Center to gain more experience and networking opportunities. Since her move in 2013 Jacqueline was promoted to full-time Administrative Assistant for the Children & Teen Program at Broadway Dance Center. While there she was introduced to Linda Farrell of LindaFit Pilates where she obtained her Pilates Mat Instructor Certification. Additionally, Jacqueline has trained in the Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary program summer intensive under director Michael Blake. She has performed for artists such as Derek Mitchell, as a soloist for Roberto Villanueva of BalaSole Dance Company, in pieces set by Jon Lehrer of LehrerDance, and as a back-up dancer for Chae Hawk, recording artist. |
